Sources & Methodology
Our core product principle is: Plain language is the entry point; official legal text and sources remain the foundation. Learn how we source every explanation.
Constitutional Text vs. Editorial Explanations
We maintain a strict, transparent boundary between operative legal text and educational commentary.
Operative Constitutional Text (originalText)
Article entries cite the Government of India Legislative Department publication (The Constitution of India as on 1 May 2026). The full library has not completed a documented human, word-for-word legal review; readers should compare the text with the cited edition.
- Separate Fields: Constitutional text is stored apart from editorial commentary and plain-language explanations. Transcription errors may still remain.
- PDF Citations: Article pages provide recorded links and locators for the Legislative Department edition. Link and page accuracy remain subject to human review.
- Automated Integrity Auditing: Tests check schema, reference resolution, routes, and formatting. They do not establish legal accuracy.
Plain-Language Summaries & Legal Guides
Educational overviews, everyday analogies, and constitutional nuance guides are written to demystify complex law for everyday citizens, strictly separated from statutory text.
- Review Status Transparency: Article text and explanations retain
awaiting-factual-reviewwhile documented human legal review is pending. - Automated Tests ≠ Legal Review: Passing automated software tests verifies schema consistency, not judicial or legal accuracy. We never fabricate reviewer credentials or claim unperformed reviews.
- Statutory vs. Constitutional Distinction: Explanations explicitly distinguish constitutional provisions (like Part III Fundamental Rights) from legislative schemes (like MGNREGA or NALSA).
Authoritative Primary Sources of Truth
Primary records are the foundation; scholarly works provide separately identified context.
The Constitution of India (Official English Edition)
The Legislative Department’s official consolidated Constitution, as on 1 May 2026.
Constituent Assembly Debates (CAD Official Reports)
The official verbatim transcripts of the proceedings of the Constituent Assembly of India spanning from 9 December 1946 to 24 January 1950 across 12 volumes.
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar: Writings and Speeches (BAWS)
Multi-volume scholarly compilation published by the Government of Maharashtra and Dr. Ambedkar Foundation.
Supreme Court of India Case Law & Reports (SCR)
Landmark constitutional bench judgments interpreting Fundamental Rights and the Basic Structure doctrine.
Core Editorial Principles
Strict editorial policies developed to prevent bias, political distortion, and misleading legal simplifications.
Source Before Assertion
Primary records are the required basis for review. Unresolved claims remain pending, and historical quotations without established provenance are withheld.
Separation of Legal Text and Editorial Explanation
Original constitutional wording is clearly labelled and visually styled in dedicated reference cards to prevent confusion between the law itself and our simplified explanations.
Plain Language, Not Oversimplification
We avoid legalistic gatekeeping while maintaining integrity. Every explanation explicitly includes scope, qualifications, and reasonable limitations rather than promising absolute outcomes.
Educational, Non-Partisan, and Not Legal Advice
This platform is a civic educational resource. Content does not constitute individual legal advice, nor does it predict outcomes in pending court cases.
Factual Error & Direct Feedback Commitment
If you identify a transcription error, broken citation, or factual discrepancy, please report it directly to our maintainer at prithvi.kamble7579@gmail.com or use the error-reporting tool in the site footer. You can immediately open a pre-filled draft in your email client or download an offline report on your device. Every reported issue is reviewed against official gazettes.
